Let's connect
April 9th 2022 was a Canberra Wedding for my memory book, luckily have this awesome blog to record my awesome days as a Canberra Wedding Photographer.
Despite having rain in the forecast and some moisture in the morning, the sunshine managed to peak through to shine down on a wonderful union between Danielle and Kurtis.
My day started with the ladies getting ready. High energy, sweets and a little salsa dancing. Our bridal party was beautifully styled by the fabulous Laetitia Carrol Artistry.
It was all sunflowers.
My Fabulous second shooter team, Eunie and Lloyd were with the gentlemen exploring the fabulous Kingston and Foreshore. Our couple were given well wished from parents and exchanged letters to open the morning of. You’ll have to wait for the wedding film to hear those sweet nothings. We had our first hiccup of the day, we were one boutonniere short, but to the credit of the florist, after one phone call they had another one delivered within the hour.
As my creative team and I headed to the location to set up, only to discover our second hiccup, the venue had booked another wedding immediately before Danielle and Kurtis’s ceremony. If you are getting married at the Saint Christopher’s Catholic Cathedral , just double check how much lead time you will have to prepare for your wedding. But it all turned out okay, the guests were seated and the ceremony was underway. As soon has those doors opened and the bridesmaids made the long walk down the aisle into the stunning cathedral, all was forgotten and the most important part of the day was full of love, commitment and tears.
While most guests enjoyed the canapes, the weather held and we were able to explore the stunning gardens of The Royal Golf Club in Yarraluma. Not only did we get to have fun on the provided golf carts but the venue provided a guide and the coordinators were so accommodating to for the rest of the night. The portraits are a dream, don’t you agree?
I have to say I have seen a lot of entrances into receptions, but none have been executed with this amount of enthusiasm and pizzazz. The high energy and buzz continued well through the speeches and into the long night of partying.
Congratulations to Mrs and Mrs Rainnie. May the long years ahead bring as joy and laughter you experienced on this magic day.
