Let's connect
The first half of 2021 has been a trying time to be an Alberta based wedding photographer. Not because of my business prospects but working with couples who just want to get married! Watching people, I really like, having to figure out the management of lifelong expectations of what their wedding celebrations should look like.
We are now nearing 1st July and Alberta is finally lifting restrictions on weddings! Hooray! But Ivan and Andrada were just ready to tie the knot. They didn’t push their date to replan and replan. They decided to go ahead and you would never have noticed it was a paired down guest list. This was a young couple in love, floating in their own joyful union with just a few friends and family members to witness and it was MAGIC.
The June rain decided to join us at all our portrait locations. We even had to move the ceremony indoors. But a little drizzle didn’t get anyone down. Here’s a sneak peak of the happy day!
Prince’s Island Park in Calgary has always been a win for wedding portraits. It is central to so many wedding venues and no matter what time of day, what light is available, I’ve always been able to find beautiful spots for portraits. This day was no different. Even midday light people!
And just to remember the magic location – Calgary. You can’t beat the view at Crescent Heights.
As I like to tell all my #etherealcouples … This is only the beginning. There is a beautiful life ahead. These two will return to the Calgary Temple for the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when their family can be present and will be sealed for time and all eternity. Such is the beautiful tradition of their religion. Stay tuned for more wedding bliss this summer!
Don’t forget to follow me on social media and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you are planning to get married in 2022. Ive just opened bookings for the wedding season.
