Families are the centre of my entire philosophy as a maternity and family photographer in Cnaberra. I love creating relationships with people and watching the generations grow! From the sweet kisses of a new couple, right through the to the children and grandchildren.
Nothing is more special than capturing the once in a lifetime moment of the baby bump. It feels like such a long time waiting in anticipation for your new baby but in the grand scheme of things, this is a small moment in time and looking back at incredible photos is beyond special.

I recommend between 28–34 weeks. We want your bump is beautifully round and still be still comfortable enough to pose. If you are carrying multiples, book slightly earlier.
When is the best time to schedule a maternity shoot?

Newborn sessions are ideally photographed when your baby is 5–14 days old. During this time:
- Babies are naturally sleepier
- They curl beautifully into those sweet womb-like poses
- It’s easier to capture those calm, dreamy images
Once baby is born, notify me how mother and baby are recovering and we can find a good time. Flexibility is built into booking.
When is the best time to HAVE NEWBORN PHOTOS?

Yes — and it’s encouraged. Your family maternity and newborn sessions can include:
- Solo portraits of you
- Intimate moments with your partner
- Family shots with siblings
- A combination of all three

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
As soon as you can after your 12 week scan and you have a most accurate due date. I do limited sessions each year and book out frequently.

HOW AND WHEN WILL I GET MY PHOTOS?
Your photos will take between 4-6 weeks to be delivered. Expedited delivery is possible for an additional fee. Your photos will be in an online cloud gallery where you can share, download and buy print products. This will be accessed via email.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Celebrating the bump, the baby and glow are a essential piece of styling your photographs.
Wearing a fitted gown is one of the most flattering options, as it highlights your belly shape beautifully and creates elegant lines in your photos. Flowing maxi dresses are also a popular choice because they add soft, romantic movement and a sense of lightness to the images. For a modern or fashion-forward look, bodysuits paired with sheer robes can be very striking, while casual jeans with a bralette or oversized shirt are perfect for relaxed, lifestyle-style sessions.
Solid, neutral tones work best in photographs. White, cream, beige, soft blush, muted grey, or earthy pastels are timeless and keep the focus on you and your baby bump. Soft, flowing fabrics such as chiffon, silk, or jersey are ideal because they drape beautifully and allow you to move comfortably into different poses.

SHOULD I HAVE PROFESSIONAL HAIR AND MAKE UP DONE?
Hair and Make up are an important part of photography. It can create even and radiant skintones on camera. It can help define eyes and lips in bright sunlight.
Paying a professional is not mandatory, but I do recommend it if you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself. Looking your best will help you feel confident in these moments when you may feel tired or stressed.

CAN I DO NUDE OR SEMI NUDE PHOTOS?
Yes — if you are comfortable and it is a priority to you.
Many women choose nude or semi-nude maternity photography to celebrate their changing bodies in a powerful, artistic way. These sessions are designed to feel elegant, tasteful, and empowering — never exposed or uncomfortable.
It’s completely your choice, and your comfort level always comes first.
